- Health care for young adults in America and how hard it is to obtain it.
- Alcohol versus Marijuana
The differences in how one is legal and the other is not. More people have died from the use of alcohol then marijuana. But yet all you have to be is a certain age to use alcohol.
- Daycare, and how a lot of daycare places dont do background checks upon hiring.
In a lot of place, companies do not do background checks on employees. If something happens to one of the children who is responsible. The company or the employee.
- Why send money to countries over seas, when here in the United States we need it?
Yes helping out others is a great thing, but not when your own people need the help to. Taking the goods away from us and shiping or flying it over to help. In the midst of helping them help us at the same time.
Topic number three would be great to argue! Esp since you have a son, that hits close to home foryou. You could take both sides to make a point.
ReplyDeleteOh I would definetly do topic number three! Its something that you have to worry about having a child and Id be really interested to see what you have to say about that!
ReplyDeleteI agree with your topic on health care. My boyfriend cant afford health care, and so he has to buy his medicine at full price, so it's hard for him as well.
ReplyDeletei agree about the heath care. even when people do have jobs, its hard to get and thats why i think heath care should be universal.
ReplyDeletei like your first topic! it is difficult for a young person these days to have any type of insurance. In most cases they expect you to be under your parents insurance..what if your not with your parents? what are you supposed to do then? With out insurance if will cost extremely to much money just to be checked out in the ER or even at the docters. They should have a special insurance just for younger people!
ReplyDeleteHi Ryan,
ReplyDeleteThoughtful topic choices! I really like number three because it's unique and a BIG deal for parents of young children. I have a friend who went to court over her daycare center breaking the leg of her 6 month old baby. Yes, there are plenty of centers out there with great, caring people, but there are also plenty out there with people who should not have charge of a child.
I also like topic one because it is such a hot issue right now. Since Obama took office the controversy over health care has taken center stage. It would be neat to hear new research on this.
I'll be interested in your angles for each!
Health care for young adults in America and how hard it is to obtain it.
ReplyDeleteI feel that trying to get insurance while being unemployed is extremly hard to obtain. Trying to get insurance for ones self is truly aggravating. They expect you to jump thru hoops to try and get insurance, and your never guarenteed to get it.
